agnès b. supported the work of Abbé Pierre from an early age and has relentlessly advocated for action to resolve the housing crisis.
As one of the earliest patrons of Fondation Abbé Pierre, agnès b. has been on the committee of the Friends and Patrons of Fondation Abbé Pierre since its creation in 2006.
In 2013, fonds de dotation agnès b. donated a house in central France to Fondation Abbé Pierre to house homeless families.
In May 2014, commemorating the 60th anniversary of Abbé Pierre’s appeal to politicians to protect homeless people, the foundation launched Operation Abbé Road, traveling all over France to raise awareness among young people about the issue, most notably at music festivals. agnès b. participated in this operation from the very beginning by providing outfits for volunteers, stating that “I believe in today’s youth, as Abbé Pierre did in his day. I love their music and street art, everything that Abbé Road represents. I feel touched by this project. It is a beautiful event.” agnès b. has continued to support this impactful operation every year.
In 2017, agnès b. designed an Abbé Pierre t-shirt, which sold in the brand’s stores and was promoted on a TV program, with all profits from sales of these t-shirts being donated to Fondation Abbé Pierre.
